The New Negress Film Society was originally formed out of a need to create community in an industry where Black women’s voices and stories are often suppressed. While supporting a wide range of films, the primary focus of NNFS is on works and perspectives which break boundaries in film, both politically and artistically, especially works which are womanist in their content and experimental in form. Directors Ja’Tovia Gary and Stefani Saintonge are scheduled to attend. (HD.)
