In conjunction with the screening series, Sembène: Father of African Cinema, Black Film Center/Archive director Michael T. Martin will moderate a roundtable discussion of Sembène’s work and legacy. This discussion will follow from the previous evening’s screenings of the new digital restorations of La Noire De … and Borm Sarret. In the evening following the roundtable, co-directors Samba Gadjigo and Jason Silverman will present their new documentary, Sembène!
