Jim Jarmusch’s existential western stars Johnny Depp as William Blake, an accountant from Cleveland who moves west to the promise of a job. Upon arrival in the town of Machine, he finds that the job is no longer available. No man is less suited for the Wild West than William. What to do? After shooting a man in self-defense, he flees westward, into the wilderness. Surprisingly, William seems to make his career as a real westerner, with Nobody by his side and a haunting Neil Young score to guide him. Contains mature content, including violence and strong language. (35mm Presentation)
