Broadway Producer and IU Alumna Harriet Newman Leve is scheduled to be present.

A magical moment in cinema history, 1951’s An American in Paris won six Academy Awards®, including Best Picture, Best Screenplay, and Best Cinematography. When ex-GI Jerry Mulligan (Gene Kelly) remains in Paris to pursue life as an artist, he is discovered by a wealthy patroness interested in more than his art, but soon three friends find their lives complicated when two of them fall in love with the same woman. This sparkling musical showcases the incomparable Kelly with the lovely Leslie Caron amid the glorious melodies of George and Ira Gershwin.

This screening is sponsored by Department of Theatre, Drama, and Contemporary Dance and IU Cinema.
