Shy and clumsy garbage man, Simon Grim, endures a colorless life with his depressed mom and promiscuous sister, Fay. That is until he's befriended by their strange new tenant, Henry Fool. Though depraved, conceited, and lazy, Henry does have a way with words and he inspires his new friend to write a book-length epic poem that catapults the awkward garbage man to literary fame. The film won the Best Screenplay award at the 1998 Cannes Film Festival for Hal Hartley and stars Thomas Jay Ryan, James Urbaniak, and Parker Posey. (2K DCP Presentation)
