It is that time of the year again...Rivalry develops between four high-school graduates and an arrogant set of college students at Indiana University. The graduates are labelled as "Cutters" - uneducated sons of limestone cutters. Their rivalry is played out in a rousing bicycle race, the University's "Little 500", which takes place every April. The film is much more complex than a simple coming-of-age story, and as Roger Ebert notes, it presents "...a Middle America we rarely see in the movies".
(2K DCP Presentation)
Tom Schwoegler, long-time Little 500 coach and part of the production crew for the film, is scheduled to be present.
