Parking is available near the IU Cinema at the Jordan Avenue Garage (the top level is open to all visitors). If you have an IU parking pass, you can park at surface lots near the IU Auditorium during the week after 5 p.m. Parking is free on weekends. Learn more about IU Cinema parking »


The Indiana University Cinema’s projection room includes:

  • 16mm and 35mm film projectors
  • 2K and 4K digital cinema projectors

This flexible range of technologies allows the cinema to screen both archival prints from some of the world’s leading film archives as well as digital format prints.

Partnering with Sony Electronics

Since 2007, Sony Electronics has worked with Indiana University to explore new applications in high-definition broadcasting and media production. Sony and its subcontractor, Media Vision, planned and installed IU Cinema’s projection equipment including:
