Seth Mutchler

Seth leads IU Cinema’s technical team, working alongside the Cinema Technology Manager and projectionists. He manages digital and film projection, equipment maintenance, collaboration with partners and service vendors, special events, and all other technical aspects of IU Cinema presentations. Seth holds master’s degrees from Indiana University in Arts Administration and Public Affairs. He also holds a bachelor's degree from IU in Communication and Culture, specializing in Film and Media Studies.

Seth began his tenure at Indiana University Cinema as a volunteer in 2011 and has subsequently worked numerous positions at IU Cinema. Since joining the technical team in 2018, he has been thrilled to connect his commitment to IU Cinema’s mission with his passion for audio and video technology. There is something magical about watching an excellent film presented in excellent conditions, and he is proud to help provide that experience for the IU Cinema audience. When not at IU Cinema, Seth enjoys bicycling, board games, and playing drums and synthesizers.
